I live in Pinole, CA. Within the Bay Area I'll travel (100 miles total only) from San Pablo, CA at no additional charge and $1 per mile outside of that.

I would like you to shoot my wedding, how do I start the process?

You can contact me via my contact form. Please provide your wedding date and venue location. I can respond by email or phone. If possible, I would like to meet you both in person so you can get to know your future photographer and can ask me everything you need. If you are out of town and a Skype or Facetime consultation is best for you, we can arrange that as well. Once you have decided to choose me as your photographer, I will send a contract for you to sign and and return with a deposit. After that, you can check “find a photographer” off your wedding to-do list.

What does a wedding session cost?

I offer an elopement package and one wedding  packages for a full day coverage at $4,000. Please contact me for a full rate sheet and details. You’ll find that I like to keep things simple. I also offer a City Hall package at $1,000. 

How much do I need to deposit?

I require a 50% initial deposit within 72 hours after initial consultation to lock your date and the remaining balance to be paid 7-days, one week before the wedding day.

How far should we book in advance?

Typically 6-12 months in advance as soon as you have a date and venue. As soon as you have your date and location secured, check in with me for availability.

Will you be shooting the wedding?

Yes. You are hiring me to photograph your wedding, not another photographer working under my name.

Do you shoot with an assistant?

Yes I do.  All of my local wedding packages include a second shoot (except the City Hall Wedding Package, Elopement Package and Destination Package). A second photographer, frees me up to focus on shooting and looking for special moments while ensuring that between the two of us, we don’t miss any important ones. The 2nd shooter offers a different but complementary perspective and allows us to work efficiently throughout the entire day.

Do you travel?

Yes, I travel just about anywhere to document your wedding day, engagement or honeymoon. For locations out of the bay area, I generally arrive at least one day before the event to help ensure that unexpected travel delays do not make me late or miss your big day.

What is your photography style?

My style is photojournalistic, vibrant, creative and fresh. I fully focus on documenting your day as it happens organically. Remaining invisible is very important to me.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes, there will be a processing fee with all credit card payments through paypal. I also accept cash, check and direct bank transfers(this saves you fees).

When should we do the wedding portraits?

This is totally up to you, I suggest to do it a couple of hours before the ceremony or immediately following the ceremony. Doing a "First Look" before the ceremony allows you to enjoy the cocktail hour and mingle with your guests and family. If you are allowing yourself enough time away from your guests to take pictures after the ceremony, that works just fine, as long as we remain on schedule.

Do you take getting-ready shots?

Yes, these are some of my favorite photographs to capture.

Do you take dance shots?

That’s where the fun is. I am right there with everyone on the dance floor.

Do you shoot in RAW?

Yes. RAW allows me to get the best quality and image detail when I am processing the photos.

Do you offer RAW files?

No. I do not offer RAW files or unedited photos. You will receive all final selected and fully edited images deemed as professional in quality and within the my artistic standards.

Do you shoot in B&W?

No. Since I shoot digital I shoot in color, but this allows me to decide after the fact whether I want to process the image in B&W or Color.

What about creative editing?

There are countless ways to edit a photo. Some may appeal to one couple, while not to another. I enjoy having artistic freedom in my style of shooting as well as with editing. 

How many images do we receive from our wedding?

It depends on the length of the day, the number of locations involved and the number of your guests, but you can expect to receive between 400 and 600 images. I aim for quality not quantity.

What kind of equipment do you use?

I shoot with Canon 5D Mark III and a combination of Canon L-Series prime and zoom lenses. I shoot mostly with natural light, but I occasionally incorporate some strobes and flashes.

When will I get to see my wedding photos?

Your photos will generally be ready a month (30-days) following the wedding. I go through a careful process of choosing the best images from the day and processing each of them with individual attention.

Do you shoot video?

Unfortunately, I do not.  I focus my attention on photographing your event. But I can make professional recommendations.

Do you offer albums?

Not at this time. We can make recommendations for printers you can use if you choose to design the album yourselves.

Will you post the photographs online?

I will generally post about every shoot on my blog and often, add shots from your event to my portfolio as well.  If you do not wish to have your images shared online or added to my portfolio, that request will certainly be honored.
